What we collect

When you use CreditExplainer we collect the information you enter into the form: your credit score range, number of open cards, missed payment history, collections status, and credit utilization. If you choose to subscribe for reminders, we also collect your email address. A session cookie (a random ID) is stored in your browser to link your results to your session.

How we use it

Your form data is sent to an AI model to generate a personalized credit improvement plan. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties other than the AI provider used to generate your plan.

Retention

Assessment results are retained for up to 12 months to allow you to return to your plan. Email addresses are retained until you request deletion.

Your rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, and opt out of any sale of your data (we do not sell data). To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@creditexplainer.com. We will respond within 45 days.
